Layla Dong is the founder and CEO of Blockshine Technology, a first-of-its-kind, all-in-one blockchain technology platform that is ushering in a new era of social impact through cutting-edge products and services, global blockchain community hubs and category-leading strategic partners. As a global leader in creating impact through mission-driven, community-first initiatives, Ms. Dong is helping chart a new way forward for diversity, equal opportunity and open innovation through the power of blockchain technology. In 2018, Blockshine Technology unveiled Blockchain Centre’s China headquarters in Shanghai, bringing the promise of next-generation social impact to life by uniting arts, culture and blockchain education in a uniquely immersive community experience.

Since 2016, Ms. Dong has been a Foundation Board Member of the Global Shapers Community—an initiative of the World Economic Forum. From 2014-2015, she served as the Curator of the Global Shapers Dalian hub and has hosted annual science and technology forums in China for over 100 of the world’s leading scientists.

Ms. Dong is also the head of global engagement at Blockchain Global and founder of Blockshine, which specializes in bridging the cultural gap between the U.S. and China to bring new opportunities on both sides of the Pacific for companies such as GOME, Enjoyer, Wanda, and Cathay. She is a key pillar of the Chinese art community, and has organized a series of international exhibitions on behalf of renowned artists such as Zhan Wang, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Yue Minjun, and others. As an experienced media and communications professional, Ms. Dong is currently a PhD candidate of Global Communication at the Communication University of China, and holds a Master’s degree in Publishing from the University of Sydney. She previously served as Editor of HarperCollins Australia.
